Holy sweet-tooth luxury! This is a dangerous recipe to make more of if you are alone in the house. Really much better than SAD caramel sauce. It goes best with tart green apples.
- 4 tablespoons tahini
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup (maple best for real carmel taste)
- 4 medjool dates
- 1 teaspoon Celtic sea salt
- 2 tart green apples
I THINK these are the measurements I used (-ish)…maybe more tahini. Adjust for your own sweet-salty-tart-tooth.
Process till dates are fully blended in (it’s nice to soak dried dates in lemon-water for an hour before mixing in). I like a little more salt – like 1 1/4 tsp…that really goes awesome with the sweetness.
