Mid-winter blessings to you!
And celebrate we are: my family and I just went to see a modern dance performance at the Flynn theater on Friday and the amazing Sweet Honey in the Rock at the Flynn last night. Feels too great, like being on vacation, to be surrounded by so much soul and heart and artistry. LOVE it.
We are preparing a few fun things to honor and celebrate Valentine's Day so please come in for a special gift for your loved one(s). :-) More info to follow sweeties!
We also have many SALES on the website to celebrate the coming of longer sun shiney days. OMG! Look at them! 3 pages of sales! Holy CACAO! If you are stopping in to visit us, we'll have some sales signs up (we'll even have more sales that we can't advertise in the store. SWEET!) :-)

There is a RAW CHOCOLATE workshop that is scheduled to happen (to honor the holiday with BETTER FOR YOU CHOCOLATE TREATS.)
Please contact me if you'd like to join us for more raw food classes. We're going to be doing another Level 1 class in April and we have plans for a sprouting class. We need to schedule dates so lemme know if you are gonna come. We'll be doing a plethora of sprouting in the class and recipes to make from sprouted seeds and grains and greens, including crackers, sprouted & fermented cheeze, smoothies and probably some other heavenly delicious stuff. COME!
Be sure to check us on the web as we have lots of new products online and in the store, too, always.

RECIPE TIME!
Kelp Noodle Heaven Version 2 Recipe
- by me (Linda Mahns)
Try this recipe out as you play with your kelp noodles. TIP: remember that after you rinse the kelp noodles in a strainer, soak them either in water and lemon juice OR add lemon juice to your dressing and have them sit in the dressing for 5 minutes in order to soften the noodles...
noodlie stuff:
1/2 yellow onion, peeled & thinly sliced
1 bag kelp noodles, drained and rinse
1 cup thinly sliced crimini mushrooms
(optional: add a handful of chopped pecans or almonds to the dish)
saucie sauce:
1/2 cup raw almond butter (can substitute with cashews)
1/4 cup coconut aminos
1 TBSP miso
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 TBSP coconut nectar
a good pinch of cayenne pepper
2 TBSP coconut oil
1/2 cup filtered or fresh water
Put the onion, kelp noodles, mushrooms in a bowl (add the handful of chopped nuts if you'd like or keep them for sprinkling on the top.) Add the remaining ingredients to the Vitamix blender and blend well - then add to veggies in the bowl and mix in together well. Let stand for 5-10 minutes to soften the noodles.
Serve over salad or in a wrap.
